Keene Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Keene, New Hampshire
Keene Country Club was established in 1897. The course first opened for play in 1930 with 9-holes. In 1957 the course was expanded to 18 holes ann the original holes were redesigned by golf course architect Manny Francis.
The course has a few water hazards coming into play on every hole. The hilly back nine has narrow fairways, but the flat front nine is wide open.
The signature hole is #7, a 525-yard, par 5, featuring a river which crosses the fairway in the landing area and requires an approach shot to a well-bunkered green framed with stone embankments.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,119 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,310 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 525 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 380-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, a 162 yard par-3.
